Hello Brad,
I recall reading somewhere that this is being done as an open source project. Could you comment on this? If so, what sourceforge is being use and what is the criteria for access / comitt.
Thanks

We are currently finalizing an agreement with Collabnet that will make a SourceForge server available to FIRST teams. Initially the idea is to allow all teams to have read access to the full library source code and the subversion history. In addition, we'll allow teams to create "community" projects that they intend to share with the FRC community. Those projects can be authored by one or more FRC teams - the initial team will have control of the contributing users on the project. They will be read accessible to everyone else.
The idea is that those projects that gain traction within the community could be migrated into the main branch of the library, but everyone will have access in the mean time.
For the longer term, we want to set up a group of committers from the community that can help determine what code goes into the library making it a true community effort. This is following the model from other large open source projects.
I believe that the project will be most successful when everyone who wants to contribute will have some way of doing so, either to the main branch or side projects. So the goal is to balance that against the ability to keep the library on track and reliable for those who just want to use it.
Please comment on this important subject.

When will the subversion repository be made accessible for non-beta teams?
//edit: this should get its own thread

The FIRST page on 2009 Control System says
"C/C++ Programming guide for FRC is on the disk provided in the early shipment
".
I looked at both disks and there seems to be no documentation on this (except Windriver document on Disk 2).
Can any one help find this document?
Thanks
Its installed in C:\WindRiver\docs\extensions\FRC

Thanks,
I found it under c:\WindRiver\docs\extensions
The WPI Robotics Library source code is temporarily posted at http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/frcupdates.html while SVN access is being worked out.
