    Me too...

Of course it's a holiday so FIRST is closed until Monday. I will call first thing. Did you talk to them on Wednesday? If so, do you have any idea how long it will take to get a functioning DS and what the process is? Thanks for your help!

Not sure what may have happened here. I have personally reflashed over 1000 (yes that is 1K) Driver Stations with out these sort of problems?

On a related note: it is not a requirement to power up the DS with the USB memory stick installed. Again, I have never done that here at FIRST. I am wondering what USB stick is being used?

    - - FOLLOWUP - -

Sent our DS to KwikByte to get it restored after our stupidity rendered it useless.

Was happy to find out that these guys are serious about helping FIRST folks.

They were gracious, helpful, courteous and FAST. Had our DS back before I knew it.

    Thanks KwikByte!

Any idea what this is? Could it be a way to recover at home?

Talk to Jason on Team 340.
They've ordered one to try repairing their own DS.

Of course, it sounds like misuse of this device could result in yet more corrupted factory images...

NOTE: FIRST has not yet verified the operation or the use of this device on the Driver Stations. We will be testing it soon as we receive one.

FIRST has tested the KwikByte Device and has reprogrammed multiple blown imaged Driver Stations. There does not seem to be any issue with using the raw_otb.bin file and following the procedures outlined in KB's documentation. Further testing will be done.
