Not sure what may have happened here. I have personally reflashed over 1000 (yes that is 1K) Driver Stations with out these sort of problems?
On a related note: it is not a requirement to power up the DS with the USB memory stick installed. Again, I have never done that here at FIRST. I am wondering what USB stick is being used?

Sent our DS to KwikByte to get it restored after our stupidity rendered it useless.
Was happy to find out that these guys are serious about helping FIRST folks.
They were gracious, helpful, courteous and FAST. Had our DS back before I knew it.

FIRST has tested the KwikByte Device and has reprogrammed multiple blown imaged Driver Stations. There does not seem to be any issue with using the raw_otb.bin file and following the procedures outlined in KB's documentation. Further testing will be done.
