    Default cRio Stand-alone Image Tool

I am trying to collect all the necessary software downloads and documentation to finish off the cRIO setup to get it as ready for the season as we can because we do not have internet access in our shop.

There is one piece of software that seems like it is missing. There is a stand-alone tool for imaging the cRIO, correct? My team plans on programming in C++ so I don't really want to install Labview in order to image the cRIO.

It seems like there should be a link to the Image Updater on this page where it says "Download: (88mb)" but there is no link there.

You are going to need to install LabVIEW unfortunately we went through the same thing. The camera setup utility, cRIO imager, and Vision Assistant are all packaged with it.

Have you gotten your cRIO yet? When you do, you'll get a set of DVDs which install either environment. You have the option of installing both LabVIEW and Wind River, only LabVIEW, or only Wind River. No matter which option you choose, it will also install some utilities. These utilities don't necessarily require the LabVIEW development environment, though they may install some run-time components that come from NI. The imaging utility falls in this category. It doesn't require the LabVIEW development environment to run. It does install something known as the LabVIEW run-time engine - a set of support libraries - because the utility was created using LabVIEW.
