Default Gamming bridge to 12V without damiging transformer?

Just thought I'd post this here in case anyone else has the same question as the guy on the Chief Delphi forum.

How do you connect the Gamming bridge to the 12V adaptor without damiging the prepacked transformer?
For those of you thinking about cannibalizing the cable from the wall transformer, don't. Those transformers can be very useful when connecting things when a robot battery is not available. Besides, the connectors are available practically everywhere. Even Radio Shack. In my opinion it is very wasteful to just cut the connector off a transformer unless you absolutely have to.

here is one type available at Radio Shack or any retail electronics store. They have different sizes too.

In the event that you've already clipped it off your wall-wart (hopefully not flush with the case), I'd still suggest saving it. Sure, it's just a 12v transformer (I forget the amperage rating, but I think it's around 600mA), but it's nice to not have to search for a spare one that will work when you do need to recreate the cable.

On the reverse side, if you're thinking about battery-powering the DS and wireless airport, the DS is an adaptaplug M, and the airport is an adaptaplug K. I highly suggest fusing them, as it is easy to short the connectors from repeated bending (especially if you can't find any 20 gauge wire and have to use 18 guage).
