My understanding is that the FMS will start your robot in auto, disabled. It will then transition to auto, enabled. At the end of autonomous, it will transition back to auto, disabled for some minimum time (~500ms, I believe). It will then transition to tele, disabled where it will stay until tele-op starts (tele, enabled). At the end, back to tele, disabled.

You will be able to read all DS data (joysticks, digital inputs, and analog inputs) at any time other than auto, enabled.

    Thanks Joe!

One question for clarification. In the advanced framework, is the Autonomous "Init" frame analogous to the disabled? I.e. - where do we put the code that we want the robot to execute during the Autonomous "Disabled" period?

The Init frame is not what you are looking for. That frame runs once after the transition to autonomous enabled is detected. You want to use the "Disabled.vi" in the Advanced Framework. I don't believe the Basic Framework can clearly identify this mode for you... I think it get's lumped in with "Other".

I think that if anyone involved in the game manual / controls system documentation is taking notes, they need to copy your posts verbatim and get them in there. It would clarify a question that a lot of teams have.

    Thanks for all your help.

Seconded - this would be very helpful to get into a more wide-spread document or announcement. Particularly because this is both a change from the way the DS/Control System that everyone has in-hand right now works, and also because it is different from the way the old system worked.

Thanks, Joe, for clarifying things -- your answers in these forums are most helpful and appreciated!
