For all of you who haven't gotten your first C++ programs up and running on the cRIO, here's a video that will help you get started. It walks through creating a sample project, the Remote System connection, the Run Configuration, and then downloading/running the code.

I think it's exactly the kind of tutorial the kids need.
Perhaps you'd consider doing one showing how to configure and use System Viewer?

I added a second video, only another 12 minutes that takes the SimpleRobot template and adds Tank drive and operates another motor from a joystick button.
