Team 1089 would like to apologize to the public for not getting on the forums sooner.
Team Mercury has been quite busy. Currently we have fully completed Task 1 through 5.
With the software, we have been testing Java. Compared to LabVIEW (what we used in 2009), the Java upload is much faster. At the moment though, the process is very picky. To guarantee an upload, Teams must go through a routine of starting/stopping the robot, connecting/disconnecting from the network, and building/running the code. It is possible though, and the software works great. Those who have taken a course in Java and have taken the AP Test are more than prepared to lead a programming team that decides to use Java.
Along with the software, Team 1089 has been testing out the new "Driver Station" for 2010. This hardware, the classmate, looks to be very promising. The staff is working very hard along with the Beta Test Teams to find all the errors out now. Again it looks really promising and will good for those who found the dashboard to be helpful.
We are meeting again Tomorrow, so we'll work to get some more information and resources out. From 1629's Thread it seems videos are really liked, so maybe we'll try to post one within the coming days.![]()
