    Default Active righting mechanisms

Using sensors, ie gyros and accelerometers, to detect when a robot is in the process of tipping/flipping is it permissable to use an active device to prevent the robot from tipping. For example, The sensors detect that the robot is 60 degress elevated on the left side. A stabilizer would extend on the right side to keep the robot from rolling.

    Default Re: Active righting mechanisms

The ROBOT righting volume expansion permitted by Rule <G30-B> only applies for robots that are righting themselves after being tipped over. Mechanisms activated before a robot is tipped must satisfy the ROBOT volume limits defined in Rule <G30>.
