FTA Manual in the works, Pls post here

Paul G: just wishing you to post manual here in supervisor section if possible. So nobody will miss it and we can get to the chapters in case need anytime.

Thanks for all the great effort, as I said elsewhere I did like the clear videos from Mark K.

For those reading this manual topic just now, here is what I posted before under a different thread==>
" pecifically I am getting asked how many crew on Field Reset and such for this years game.
Also as in past years it would be wonderful to get copy of some of the FTA manual so we FS can be more up to speed as to assembly of Field, and Road Case handling and such. As you know I like to print out and laminate several of the key diagrams for use on the Field work.

OK that is all from Seattle. We have a Joint Practice Field mostly constructed here and one going up north of Seattle , also the Aviation School soon too. So Washington is breaking away....

I've tried several times to post it but I keep getting a security error. I'll contact FIRST tomorrow. Hopefully it won't take too long to figure out what is wrong.

Hi Paul, I am assuming you are saying the whole manual is a single file and you can't break it into sections.

If that is the case, install a free PDF writer (like the one from here: http://www.cutepdf.com/).

The PDF writer shows up as an option in your list or printers. Then, open the FTA manual, and "print" just a range of pages to the PDF writer. If you break it up into sections, you should then be able to put it in multiple posts.

Another alternative is to upload it to a place like www.yousendit.com and then post the link for others to download it.

Let's start with Chapter 2, Event Shipment. It is in three separate files. It's broken down into pages 1 thru 19, 20 thru 29 and 30 thru 34.

Next is Chapter 3, Building the Field, that is only broken into 2 files, pages 1 thru 30 and 31 thru 42. And, Chapter 4, Field Electronics.

Hey Paul : pretty sure you direct emailed us FS that little Quick Reference Card set..but would be great to have here on forum. ( I keep getting it loaded on some other computer and house number 4) The Reference cards are much easier to copy and print big size and laminate than the embedded pdf pages in the full FTA manual.

I don't have an electronic version of the Quick Reference. Not sure where you got one if you have one. I asked for one but never got it and I didn't have time to follow up.
