    Default Disabled Robots and Backbots

In response to an earlier question; It was stated that if an alliance's robot is unable to make it to a match and the game ends up 2v3, then the 2 team alliance is not required to maintain a backbot.

I have several questions about this. How does this policy extend to disabled robots? If a team's robot is disabled mid-match, are they required to maintain a back-bot? If yes, then are teams assesed additional penalty points if the robot disabled was the backbot? (assume the disabled robot was the only alliance robot on the appropriate side of the field) Will teams somehow be alerted to their non-back-bot status? Does the reason the robot was disabled affect the above policy?

    Thanks for you time!

Default Re: Disabled Robots and Backbots

If three robots are on the field for an alliance at the start of the match, then the alliance must have a backbot during all defensive periods of the game. If one of the alliance robots is disabled during the match, then it is up to the two remaining alliance members to either bocome the backbot, or move the disabled robot into an appropriate position such that it can be the backbot.
