Are teams required to have aluminium angles attached with wood screws on their bumpers?
According to my interpretation from the rulebook, this is not required. However, at the florida regional, inspectors allegedly forced teams to do this.
What is the correct interpretation?

Figure 8-1 in Rule <R37> indicates that although using aluminum angles to clamp the fabric is the preferred method for attaching the cover to the bumpers, teams may also use staples and/or glue. To be precise, the use of aluminum angles is recommended but not required.
