We would like to connnect a blue tooth adaptor to the dashboard port on the operator interface so we can use labview to monitor the robot during competition. Is there any reason this would not or should not be attempted or allowed?

No. This would be a violation of Rule <R59>. However it is permissible to have LabView running on a laptop computer at the Alliance Station that is connected to the dashboard port of the OI via a cable. This would enable a team to use LabView to collect robot performance data without violating the "no wireless communication" rules.
