Team demographics and judging
Will the team demographic information that teams are required to submit as part of the yearbook page be used solely by FIRST to compile statistical information about the community of teams, or will this information also be provided to the judges and used in their deliberations? Many teams have expressed concern about the potential for economic background, ethnic diversity, gender composition or other demographic information about the teams becoming deciding factors in what is otherwise a competition based on technical accomplishments.
