    Default Hurdling

Why is it considered a hurdle if a red robot removes a blue trackball (in the counterclockwise direction) if the ball had never been previously taken off the overpass? The ball has never crossed the lane marker.

    Default Last moment hurdling

If a ball is in the process of being hurdled as time expires, does it count? Same question again but for placing the ball on the overpass? What must be done before time expiration in either case? Also, what is the moment that defines the expiration of time? The game clock "just" ticking on zero, the beginning, middle, or end of the buzzer sound?

When a ball is hurdled, and it first contacts the guardrail but then hits the floor or an opposing alliance robot, does the hurdle count?

    Default Hurdling

If a bal is being hurdle, hits a robot of the same alliance before hitting the ground or an opposing alliance robot, my understanding is that the hurdle doesn't score. Correct?

1 - As described, this action would not be considered a Hurdle. A Trackball that is removed from the Overpass (by any Robot from any Alliance) must cross a lane marker before it can score a Hurdle. Please refer to Rule <G12>.

2 - As noted in Rule <G14> (as amended in Team Update #13), if a Trackball is in unrestrained motion (i.e. not in contact with a Robot) when the clock reaches zero, the Trackball’s contribution to the score will be based on when it comes to rest. If the Trackball is not in free-flight (i.e. in contact with a Robot or the Overpass or other field element) when the clock reaches zero, then the Trackball’s contribution to the score will be based on the conditions that exist as the Match ends. As noted in Rule <G02>, the Match ends when the arena timer display zero seconds.

3 - If a Trackball is thrown over the Overpass and then strikes the guardrail and then falls on to the Track or another Robot, it will count as a Hurdle. If a Trackball is thrown over the Overpass and then strikes the guardrail and then falls out of bounds before striking the floor or another Robot, it will not count as a Hurdle (as noted in this Q&A System answer)

4 - If a Trackball is thrown over the Overpass and then strikes the throwing Robot before contacting the floor or another Robot, then the action will not count as a Hurdle. If a Trackball is thrown over the Overpass and then strikes any other Robot (including one of the same Alliance), the action has met the definition of “Hurdle” and will be scored as a Hurdle.
