Has anyone applied for the Global Innovation Award? Find it amazing that some teams have thousand of votes? Just how are they doing that?

One vote per IP address per day. A big team, extended families, business colleagues and a lot of organization can go a long way.

We've seen A LOT of traffic from social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. It's amazing how fast info gets out there!

It's another place to be innovative.... Our project is related to Parkinson's.
We sent it to organizations that would have an interest in your product (Michael J Fox Foundation, National Parkinson's Support Group) Since we are the only team from our state currently competing for the Global Innovation award, we asked our state tournament to forward our info to the rest of the teams in the state. We already have been featured in our local paper and should be getting some TV exposure soon. Our information has been passed on to all the staff at our school to vote at work and home. Also, any business with free wi-fi is a potential vote. We also used http://tinyurl.com to shorten the address so it was more Facebook and Twitter friendly. I send a message out on Facebook every couple days to remind everyone to vote... Our shortened link is http://tinyurl.com/4wen76q if you feel inclined to vote for our project.
