Hi, I also have a 7 year old that may be interested. Did you find any local Jr. FLL groups in Raleigh? Thanks!

I am looking for a team for my 2 boys (8 and almost 6) too. Have you found any teams yet? If not, would you like to explore the possibility of forming a team with us?

Has anyone been able to form a FLL team? My 10-yo son would be interested in joining.

I was in a similar position until a few weeks ago. I'm in Florida so I asked around in school and finally found 6 parents to start a Jr FLL. I ended up as coach. This week will be our third. Looking forward to it. PS I have no Lego construction experience but the kids are creative and love using Legos and are researching different ways to design items. So I am not too worried. Everything has a learning curve. The forum also provided help about where to find resources.

Perhaps you could try contacting the FLL regional partner:
http://www.nc-fll.org/contact%20us.html

They should be aware of any JFLL teams in NC, if anyone is.

I can give you some information about starting a JrFLL team (or an FLL team) in the Raleigh area. Our FRC team in Cary/Apex (Team PyroTech #3459) will be doing some outreach this summer/fall to help some JrFLL and FLL teams get started.

I notice no one has mentioned using the TeamUp match service at usfirst.org....
