  • New Website Layout

On the firstlegoleague website, it looks like a new template or layout is in place. Looks cool, but a lot of the photos are not sized well on my browser. IE10. Mostly logos, but a few others too. All too big.

Anyone else seeing this, or just some peculiar settings on my work computer?

Looks ok to me. Sometimes you have to force a refresh (Ctrl-F5 or Shift-F5) when the site layout changes.

I'm seeing the HUGE headline font in Firefox as well. It is making it a pain to print out the updates. We have our rules expert check the updates at the beginning of every meeting and print them for the rules book if any have been added. What used to take 2 pages now takes 8 and it is not as easy to read. I'm not a fan of the new layout.

I used Chrome to inspect and change the size (local to my machine) of the h2 header from 34px to 18px. It looks much better so here is a PDF of it with a more appropriate sized font you can use for printing: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_J2...it?usp=sharing

Thanks, that looks much more readable. I will probably have the boys cut and paste any new rules into a Word doc so the size can be changed.

                Re: New Website Layout

There was no update about the updates. I just kept going to the older spot for the link and didn't even go looking for another place until someone mentioned update 24. That prompted me to go look. Something about these midseason earthquake adjustments at FIRST programs that are becoming more unsettling. I.T. people always seem to think the rest of the world is as flexible and as open to "improvements" as they are.

Ha! Had this not been first related I would have thought that you had been speaking with my business users at work. They say the same thing about me.

If you're looking for suggestions....either put a "print view" or a link to an appropriately-formatted PDF on the Updates & Project FAQ pages. That'd also get rid of the extra stuff on the left.

Yes a plain text view would be my vote also.

Thanks. Will make sure to look into that as well.

If you see any links directly traffic to the old version of the Robot Game Updates please email [email protected]. I think I have put in the proper URL redirects, but it's always good to have someone checking outside of the FIRST HQ.

                          Thank you.

A printable version would be great.

Is anyone other than CheesyBlueFlamingos and I getting a lot of %'s when printing?

                            Thanks.

The % are actually html markup. Like a space is %20. I think everyone should be getting those.
