  • Forum Use Feedback

I know this is FLL specific but this is the only option open to me for posting feedback on about the forum.

We are starting both a JrFLL team this year and a TECH team. I am in the process of putting together the budget and would love to talk to other teams (TECH specifically) about their current budges. The problem is that there is no where a new team can post to current teams to talk. All the forums are locked down by team number. Would be great if you were part of any FIRST robotics team you could post in all the forums.

I also mentored a FTC team this year. It was in its second year. If you have grads from FLL (which we did) you can get a discount on the registration. There are also grants for first year teams. We spent about 2000 last year and about 2200-2500 this year. We have not bought the walls for the field yet though. I would budget about 3000 for the first year so you can get everything you need for the field setup (mats and walls) and the parts for the robot.

      This.

I was looking at the same thing and even sent them a polite message to see about getting added to ftcforums for that very reason, but it was a no-go (I think my message went in the bit bucket someplace).

chiefdelphi.com is more FRC-specific, but there are FTC/FLL forums on there as well. I don't think the FLL CD forums are used much because this one has all the FLL traffic, but I think there were more posts in the FTC CD one. You might try that one if you can't find all the answers you need, here.
