Are we allowed to put a channel to direct the roll of the ball if it lands on the top of the robot?

I am interested in this answer as well.

My understanding is that it is legal since it is not "active control above the bumper". What would not be legal is a kicker at the end of the channel above the bumper. You need something over the robot anyway to prevent carrying balls that land on top of your robot. I do however question the value given you still need to get the ball over your bumper without extending past the frame.

Would placing a rigid cover on risers above the robot (2-3 inches) which formed a shallow slope in this /\ general design be considered legal? It's only function would be to ensure that balls do not get hung up inside or on top of our robot and would allow them to roll off if they were to find their way onto our bot.
