  • Bumper Height from the floor?

I have not found a specification that says how high the bumpers need to be off of the floor.

Please tell me where this specification is.

    Thanks

    Kim,
Look at the glossary in section 1. 1 in. to 7 in. off the ground.
    Good luck!

Are the bumpers included in the dimensions of the robot?

Will we be 'non-compliant' if our bumper extends to 7.25" inches above the floor? Based on the stack-up of tolerances, we're just outside the envelope if the spec reads as 1" to 7" +/- 0" Can anyone help?

              Brian,

I can guarantee that you will not pass inspection with bumpers that high. Your bumpers, if built to spec, are 5" tall. This gives you an inch of leeway. Mount then centered at four inches from the floor and you will be fine.
