Are you using PWM (red/black/white) wires to the Jaguars, or did your team use CAN bus last year?

        Re: code to jag

I will start with the physical wiring then move to programming.

The red/black/white (PWM) cables will go from the Jaguar to the digital side car (the blue box with the large cable connecting it to the cRIO. The will connect to the PWM ports on the digital side card. Make sure the wire have the right connection orientation (+ and Signal) on both the side car and the Jaguar. The writing on the Jag is a little hard to see but found this tip earlier today.

        http://kamocat.com/robot/electrical.php

Scroll down to the section "Notes on using the Jaguar motor speed controller"

There are some great tips there.

When you connect the PWM cable to the cRIO note in your documentation where each one goes. For instance.
PWM 1 = front left wheel
PWM 2 = front right wheel

Now in your software, in labview look at your project files. There is one called begin.vi. This is where the resource open for each jaguar is. One of the inputs is the PWM number the jaguar is connected too. Change this to match what your connections are.

Here is a resource on the FIRST side to how the wiring for the Jags should be done.

its still not working and now we are having problems deploying the code to the crio. we had a program from last year still on there and when ever we try to launch it either says watchdogs are not being feed or we sit around waiting 30 minutes and it still doesnt deploy.

What programming language are you using?
